"The Blueprint for a Perfect Morning: Start Your Day Like Kevin Bay"

I haven’t been a big morning routine guy I the past! I have actually posted about it possibly being something that can set you up for failure if you’re not someone that’s good at sticking to a list which could up being more bad than good. With that being said, I have changed my tune a little bit now. Having a plan, for me, keeps me a bit more focused. Allows for me to know what I’m doing daily. And makes me more discipline, which is something that has been an issue for me.


I understand the significance of crafting a morning routine can set the tone for a productive and fulfilling day. As I approach the milestone of my 50th, my morning routine has become a cornerstone. Here's a glimpse into how I begin each day, setting the day up for success, and maybe some things you can take for yourself to help you as well.


Step 1: Rise and Shine with a 10-Minute Walk

For me, the day begins early. I have been staying up later than I’d like so I can appreciate the quiet solitude of the morning. As soon as I wakes up, I normally go barefoot and head out for at least a 10-minute walk. This simple act of moving his body in the fresh morning air invigorates him, boosts his energy, and clears his mind. It's a tranquil moment of reflection and preparation for the day ahead. Getting Vitamin D as soon as you wake is something that has so many benefits for each day but also for overall wellness.


Step 2: Put Pen to Paper

After my walk, I try to immediately dive into another important morning ritual: writing. I never have been a firm believer in the power of journaling, for many reasons. One being what if someone else reads it (HAHAHAHA). Sort of like when you hire someone to delete everything in your phone if, unfortunately, something bad happens to you. But I wanted to make an effort to making writing a habit now. So I don’t necessarily journal but I have decided to dedicate time to write three pages of thoughts, ideas, and reflections. This practice not only helps him unload any mental clutter but also sets a creative tone for the rest of the day. Writing allows him to capture thoughts and emotions, serving as a foundation for personal growth.


Step 3: TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN!!!!

Within two hours of waking up, training is something I need to do or I risk not doing it at all! Whether it's hitting the gym, it ensures that I get the body moving weight first thing in the day. Exercise isn't just about physical fitness for me; it's a mental reset, a stress reliever, keeps me discipline (which is an issue for me) and needs to be an essential part of his morning routine.


Step 4: Plan and Prioritize

To ensure a productive day, I take a moment to plan and prioritize his tasks. I outlines 3 goals, both short-term and long-term, and identify the most critical tasks for the day. This clarity helps keeps focused and organized, ensuring that he makes the most of my time. Even if some of them are repetitive.


Step 5: Embrace Quiet Moments

Amid the hustle and bustle of life, I see myself more and more valuing quiet moments of reflection and mindfulness. Whether it's a few minutes of meditation or simply enjoying sitting in peace, these moments allow him to center himself and cultivate a sense of gratitude.


Step 6: Connect with Loved Ones

Before diving into the demands of the day, I make an effort to connect with people I am grateful for. Whether it's a text message, a phone call, that may bring an eye-roll or annoy those of you I am reaching out just to tell you how much I love and care about you. Others I take a minute to say hi if it’s been a while. Some of you I’m gushing about how proud I am of you or what great things you are doing.


My morning routine is for me, created by me for me. In crafting this morning routine, I have found a way to harmonize my mind, body, and spirit, ensuring that I start each day with intention and purpose.


As he approaches my 50th, I understands that the key to a successful life lies in the consistency of these daily rituals. Whether you're striving for personal growth, professional success, or simply a happier and more fulfilling life, following a blueprint for a perfect morning is a powerful way to make each day count.
